During their 2020 RV road trip, the Munizes stopped in Canton, Mississippi, where Frankie Muniz had filmed the 2000 film "My Dog Skip."

On Jan. 11, 2023, the Automobile Racing Club of America announced that Frankie Muniz will drive a No. 30 Ford Mustang for the Rette Jones Racing team in 2023.

“Ever since childhood, it’s been my dream to pursue racing in NASCAR,” Muniz said in a statement.

Muniz’s racing career began when he participated in the 2004 Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race. After competing in the ensuing years, he experienced a season-ending injury in 2009 when he broke his back and ankle — among other injuries — in a crash.
